Michigan has 950 apples orchards, offering fun activities even if you are not an apple lover.  October in Michigan brings out the beautiful fall colors and the small of hot cider.  You can find hayrides, petting zoos, haunted houses, pumpkins and corn mazes at many of Michigan Cider and Apple Orchards. DTE Energy has begun the more than $600 million dollar upgrading project covering Southeast Michigan.  The project will focus on  - Replacing or if appropriate, repairing hundreds of transformers, fuses, lightning arresters and several other components of the operating equipment. Thousands of trees are scheduled to be trimmed in an effort to reduce power outages. Miles of overhead power lines will be replaced or reconductored. It’s a great time to buy a home right now in Michigan, but it’s a bit difficult to sell.  According to Realcomp II, Michigan largest multi-listing organization servicing homes and condos in Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair and Wayne counties. August Michigan home sales were up 4.9 percent – 4,723 to 4,956, when compared to July sales.  But if you look at last years August numbers 5,192 homes were sold in Michigan – making August 2007 sales down 4.5 verses last year.
