House Bill 5199 to Cause Huge Tax Increase The Michigan legislature has until October 1 to balance the budget. They are projecting there will be nearly $1.7 billion less revenue next year than the current year. Rep. Volkswagen has announced the will be moving their North American headquarters to Virginia sometime next years.  The move from Auburn Hills Michigan is expected to eliminate 400 jobs.  The move is scheduled to start sometime in April of 2008 and will be completed by the end of the year.  600 of the estimated 1,400 employees will remain in Auburn Hills in the call center and technical service jobs.  400 jobs will be moved to Virginia with about 150 Michigan employees moving to Herndon, he … [Read more...]
