Charter hits 100,000 Michigan phone customers

Charter Communications’ Ada-based Michigan operations announced Thursday that the company has hit the 100,000-customer landmark for telephone customers in the state of Michigan.
July of 2006 was the official launch for Charter Communications and their Telephone services in Michigan. Hitting 100,000 customers is just under fourteen months is a hugh achievement.
“Our telephone service has been very popular because it’s proving to be a great value for all those who connect to it,” said Tim Ransberger, Charter’s vice president of government relations. Customers can really save money by bundling their services, combining digital cable TV, high-speed internet, and telephone service. Charters data shows that 7 out of 10 telephone customers obtain all three services.
Kalamazoo Michigan was the fist city Charter launched their services in, followed intimately with launches in Grand Haven, Traverse City, Saginaw, Midland, Mt. Pleasant and they continued to expand throughout the state of Michigan.
Even the Michigan Upper Peninsula residents have access to Charters Telephone Service. Charter is now available in over 85 percent of Charter’s Michigan markets.
Charter Telephone provides customers unrestricted local and long distance calls in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, all for one monthly price. Recently, Charter announced its Worldwide 250 Calling Plan providing additional savings by allowing customers to talk to family and friends around the globe for over four hours each month for only $20.
