Just 30 miles west of Detroit the cozy little town of Ann Arbor Michigan will be the nation’s first city to use LED’s (light-emitting diodes) for about 1,400 street lights. LED technology uses less than one half the energy of standard street light bulbs, estimated savings to the city is $100,000 per year.
