$22.5 Million Could Add Michigan Jobs

Six new development projects worth over $22.5 million dollars could have hundreds of jobs in Michigan claims The Michigan Economic Development Corp.
An automobile supplier headquartered in Farmington Hills Michigan, The Dearborn Group, is planning to create 61 jobs in an expansion that will cost $1.1 million
$8.2 million will be invested by a company based in France, Inergy Automotive Systems. The company is moving its Ontario operation to its already established Adrian plant creating 189 jobs. And still another automotive supplier, International Automotive Components is receiving a tax credit worth $23 million spread out over 10 years to stay in Michigan, creating upwards of 200 jobs.
An unoccupied building in the Columbia Arts District in Holland is expected to add five jobs and $701,185 in private investment, a renovation is planned by Purple House Productions.
With $4 million in state and local tax incentives The Holland Brownfield Redevelopment Authority plans to help finance a parking structure with 262 spaces.
A Holland based company called Scrap Yard Lofts will start a two-phased construction project renovating two buildings for an apartment, condo and office space using state and local taxes valued at $811,000 generated 40 jobs.
