The Wayne Country Commission approved plans to convert a contaminated downriver Michigan site into a $27-million, 130,000 square-foot shopping mall. The cost to clean up this site near the Allen and West Road intersection is roughly $2.5 million. 3,000 New Michigan Jobs
More than $550 million will be spent to create almost 3,000 jobs from six different companies in Michigan. The projects were announced this week by Governor Granholm and the Michigan Economic Development Corp. Here is some of the tech jobs that were announced: ProQuest LLC –ProQuest is a digital repository and provider of scholarly documents from all over the world.
