The Wayne Country Commission approved plans to convert a contaminated downriver Michigan site into a $27-million, 130,000 square-foot shopping mall. The cost to clean up this site near the Allen and West Road intersection is roughly $2.5 million.
The Woodhaven Towne Center home contains soil contaminated with volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds, polychlorinated biphenyls and metal.
