Michigan Survey Show Support for Entrepreneurship

Mid-Michigan residents were surveyed and results of the survey show that technology is even steven with manufacturing in the kinds of businesses residents would like to see here in Michigan.

401 Michigan residents across the MMIT’s (Mid-Michigan Innovation Team) 13-county service area were queried in September regarding job and training, the economy of the region, growth opportunities and the culture of entrepreneurship.

Resident of Michigan would like to see new manufacturing and technology firms as well as small businesses in any industry.  Entrepreneurship was mentioned over and over, showing that residents know the importance of small businesses in the region.

The Prima Civitas Foundation has received a $250,000 grant from the C.S. Mott Foundation to assist efforts to improve higher education and commercialization opportunities throughout mid-Michigan, as well as additional resources to convene a learning community of entrepreneurship education stakeholders that will take on complementary tasks.  For more information visit here.
