I am all for building Michigan Tourism, as life long Michigan resident we choose to vacation here in Michigan. The are many beautiful vacation spots throughout the state during the summer as well as during the winter months. I commend Joe Breidenstein and his efforts to make spring breakers aware of all that Michigan has to offer. But I do wonder if the mindset of the thousands of spring break travelers would even consider coming to Michigan instead of the traditional Florida, Arizona or … [Read more...]
Michigan Freeway to Be Shut Down 2 Years
On February 25 I-75 will be shut down near the Ambassador Bridge for 2 years, making this Michigan road project the most costly and longest shut down in Michigan road construction history. At a cost of nearly $170 million dollars, the project will be a great improvement on how traffic flows via I-75 and I-96 to access the Ambassador Bridge. New walkways to connect the east and west sides of Detroit’s’ Mexicantown have been long over due since the split some 40 years ago when the freeway … [Read more...]
Pot Holes Start To Appear in Michigan Roads
I swear when I drove down Telegraph yesterday the roads were fine, this morning I felt like I was playing a video game were I had to dodge a pot hole every couple of feet. It is likely as a driver on Michigan roads you are going to hit a pot hole that feels like you left one of your tires behind, no matter how alert and attentive you are. Road salt is a destructive way to melt ice, not only does it destroy the roads it also takes havoc on our cars. Although I don’t really see as many … [Read more...]
Michigan Lottery Super Raffle Has Best Odds
February 11 marks the launch of the new Michigan Lottery Super Raffle. I am not a big lotto or mega millions player, sure once and a while when the jackpot gets pretty high I’ll grab a few tickets but that’s it. I must say that the Michigan Lottery Super Raffle does peak my interest the odds are 1 in 55 of winning at least $500 … [Read more...]

The Henry Ford hosted the summit, were Kao Michigan needs to generate a portfolio featuring all the skills … [Read more...]
Michigan Job Fair – Engineering and Technology Jobs
On February 19th over 60 businesses from Michigan will be featured at this years Engineering Society of Detroit’s Engineering and Technology Job Fair. This sounds like a great event for students and entry level engineers. The part I do not understand is the $15 admission fee to attend the event, more than likely the attendees do not have a job. One would think that 60 plus companies could cover the expenses necessary to host such an event. The event runs from 2pm to 7pm at the … [Read more...]
