Congratulations to Heritage Perk the MichiganBusinessHub.com Michigan Business of
the Week.
Heritage Perk is located at 22395 Goddard Road in Taylor Michigan, owned and operated by Mary Smith. Heritage Perk was first and foremost a coffee house, but quickly expanded to a board array of lunch items and fine desserts.
Customers can enjoy a great cup of Coffee, Latte or Cappuccino along with one of the many food items on the menu including soups, sandwiches and of coarse desserts, all while using the Free Wi-Fi Internet service that is provided.
You will find fresh coffee brewing from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays. You can even call ahead (734 287 8670) 6 am to 10 am Monday thru Friday and place your order, pull up alongside the building and one of the friendly staff members will bring it out to you.
Heritage Perk only uses fresh-roasted coffee, ground fresh right before brewing.
Although the core of their business is their coffee drinks, you will find a wide variety of cold drink offerings, a line of smoothies, frosted lattes and a new line called “Healthy Perks”
You will not find a better cup of coffee in the Downriver Michigan area. Heritage Perk was nominated for The Best of Detroit Coffee Shop (2007) by Channel 4 Click on Detroit.

I love the Heritage Perk. When I saw the ad in the window when they were opening. I emailed them and told them how excited I was for a coffee shop. I am not a Starbucks kind of girl. All of the ladies and gents that serve as barista’s are GREAT. Thank you Heritage Perk for just being there.

Marilyn,
Being a Brownstown Michigan resident I wish they would open a Heritage Perk (south)
- but after visiting and meeting the great staff, I am definitely going to make a effort to get over to the Perk as often as possible.

How do the prices compare to say Tim Horton’s and the over priced Starbucks?

I have been to Tim Horton’s a few times but soooo impersonal. Probably simalar prices.Starbucks is definetly pricier. I have been there a few times also. The staff is sooo terrific and fun. They know what you want after a couple times. Really there is no!!!! comparison to the other coffee shops and come on this shop is locally owned. I have always been a staunch supporter of local businesses. It keeps our taxes down and helps our local people. Thank you for a way to help the local folks. Marilyn Perry
