AT&T Selling New Apple iPhone At A Loss

The new model of Apple Inc.’s iPhone is about to go on sale, for a suggested retail of $199.  The new iPhone is estimated to cost Apple $173 to make, but Apple’s profit is much more than the $26 difference between their cost and the suggested retail. Woodward Dream Cruise Brings Millions to Michigan

The 2007 Woodward Dream Cruise had a gross economic impact of over $64 Million, with a net impact of $21 to $32 Million on Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties – based on a study the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau hired Sportsimpacts.com to conduct. Michigan’s Bottle Deposit Law May Include Water

In 1976 Michigan voters passed the Michigan Bottle Deposit Law imposing a ten cent deposit on all soft drinks, beer, wine coolers and malt beverage containers.  Stat’s show that Michiganders return 97 percent of the containers they pay a deposit on.  The Michigan United Conservation Club predicts that non-carbonated drinks such as Water and Juice will exceed soft drink sales within a few years. Ann Arbor Michigan’s Farmers’ Market Begins Solar Energy Installation

156 solar panels are being installed in the City of Ann Arbor Michigan’s most significant solar energy venture thus far.  The 10-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system will be on the markets northern building and will be able to power the entire market (equal to five homes).  The project is estimated to be completed by mid-July.  Ann Arbor seems to be leading the way in solar energy; over 18,000 homes have been recognized as good candidates for solar power.
