Marathon Oil Funds Fuel Gallery At Science Center

We all know that the big oil companies are showing profits will into the billions. Yes it is frustrating as consumers to pay almost $4 per gallon of gas. But if these big oil companies would show more community support such as Detroit Based Marathon Oil recently did, I would be less annoyed paying the outrageous gas prices we’ve been faced with lately.
The $2.4 million dollar grant Marathon Oil gave to the Detroit Science Center is a hugh step in the right direction. The grant will be used to fund a new Future Fuels Gallery at the museum that will cover 6,000 square feet over three stories. This exhibit will be the museum’s largest and will be the largest public only display of alternative fuels in the Midwest. The grand opening is scheduled sometime in 2010.
Future Fuels will breakdown the complicated world of petroleum based energy from crude oil refining to various products we as consumers use everyday.
