Keeping Your Clients

Here in Michigan it is harder than ever to keep your clients; it may be as simple as just saying “Thank You”. Here are a few things to consider when asking yourself “How Can I Retain My Clients?”
First and foremost you need to send a follow-up letter or email, asking your clients if they were completely satisfied with your product or services. It your customer was not happy you can resolve the problem and most importantly patch up the relationship by taking swift action to fix the problem. Never blow it off or offer a discount on a future purchase – ask them straight up, what you can do to fix the problem.
You can build customer loyalty by sending them some business, make a purchase yourself if you need their product or service, better yet send them a new customer showing them you are a valuable vendor that not only provides great service, you also provide referrals.
A simple “Thank You” may just be enough to keep your customers coming back. I use Send Out Cards to fire off thank you Post Cards and Greeting Cards to every customer. You should also consider sending a Birthday Card and or Holiday Cards through out the year. This is a heartfelt way to thank a custom while making it very personal.
In addition to a thank you card, you might also consider sending a custom printed promo item with your company’s logo. This route has two great angles to consider, you are thanking your customer by giving them a Corporate Gift while marketing your business with the custom imprinted item.
Not matter what avenue you choose, you must make an effort to keep in contact with and thank your current customers. These are the gems, it’s hard to gain new customers, but relatively easy to keep customers if you make the effort and show them you appreciate their business.
