Chamber Helps Michigan Small Businesses Market Themselves
By Tim Somers on Oct 2, 2008 in General
As a member of the Detroit Regional Chamber for some 12 years now, I can say that many of the events and services the Chamber offers have helped my Michigan Based Business.
The new Maverick Marketing Mondays will be just over an hour and are designed to help Michigan small business owners market their businesses on small limited budgets.
National and local speakers who are successful “mavericks” in their industries will present at the sessions and promises to give more than the normal lame PowerPoint presentations that are the norm for events of this nature.
Each session will be limited to 60 participants so the presenters are able to engage audience members. The lunches will be held at the Detroit Zoo from noon to 1:15 p.m.
October 13 is the first Maverick Marketing Mondays session entitled “Become Relevant or I’ll Ignore You.” The presenter will be Peter DeLegge, publisher of “Marketing Today,” one of the country’s highest rated marketing blogs and online magazines.
Registration for each session of Maverick Marketing Mondays is $20 for Detroit Regional Chamber members, $40 for non-members. Chamber members can also purchase a season pass to all four sessions of season one for only $65.
