Time To Fall Back
By Tim Somers on Oct 31, 2008 in Featured, General
Daylight Savings Time is coming to an end. Most Americans will be setting their clocks back one hour and returning to Standard Time on Sunday, November 2nd at 2 a.m.
Daylight Saving Time (DST) was extended by an entire month this year put into effect by the Energy Policy Act, enacted in 2005.
Setting your clocks back is a great time to remember a few other important tasks that need to be done annually or every six months.
- Resetting automatic lights and sprinklers to standard time operation.
Checking fire extinguishers and testing smoke detectors.
Restocking first-aid kits and emergency supplies.
Changing important passwords and personal identification numbers (PINs).
Rotating tires and inspecting the spare
Please comment on any other tasks that should be completed when we fall back.
