Michigan Tourism Budget Biggest In State History

Travel Michigan is going to announce a $10 Million Dollar cable TV campaign to boost Michigan tourism. Four new TV commercials are up for approval and are scheduled to start broadcasting Monday, March 30 on 15 national cable networks.
This year (2009) the Michigan tourism budget was increased by 13 percent to $30 Million Dollars overall. Last years out of state summer advertising generated 4.97 million visitors with an estimated $1.1 billion dollars for Michigan businesses, producing $75.3 million dollars in state taxes.
