Local Salon & Spa Receives National Award

Riverview Michigan, August 6, 2009 –VIP Salon and Spa located at 15580 King Road has been featured once again in National Beauty Publication Allure Magazine. This time for being “A Cut Above” other salons visited in Michigan and are on the list among five other salons chosen in the country!
Salons were visited from Arlington Virginia to Los Angeles, California by Allure Magazine and only one in Michigan chosen. VIP SALON was recognized as the best for “A Cut Above” other stylists based on how they performed when a secret shopper booked services. Allure magazine sent out undercover reporters throughout the United States to find the best salon cuts. They came back with eleven salons that were recognized for excellence in the entire country.
Stylist Karyn Sauve was chosen as one of those eleven because of the reporters’ haircut and style she received from Sauve who has been with VIP for seven years. “This is such an honor for Karyn and our Salon. We are not surprised that Karyn received this recognition because of her dedication and expertise to our industry. She is a true professional who has studied at facilities from California to Florida to hone her special techniques.” says salon owner Renee’ Borowy.
This is actually the second year in a row VIP has been recognized in Allure Magazine. Last year Ngoc Ho, a nine year VIP nail veteran was visited by Allure and awarded the distinction of “The best for obsessively precise polishing”. Ms. Borowy also commented that “Nqoc has a large clientele that comes from miles away for the very latest nail treatments. Both Karyn & Ngoc as well as all of our staff; which consists over 55+ employees, are in the business of making people happy, but it’s also wonderful to be recognized for our talent too!” In addition to this latest recognition for service, VIP has received Salon of the Year for Michigan in 1997 and 1998 and many other recognitions for excellence in their field of work.
